Frequently Asked Questions about what we are all about.
Yes and well, Yes! Our goal is to teach you something new every night about your instrument and get you to make weekly progress.
We have 3 instructors in the class. John a multi percussionist and Brandon our Guitar pro (although he also has a background in recording, percussion and sound reinforcement). Kevin on Bass, but he is also a Multi Instrumentalist with extensive Upper Level education and performance experiences on Keys, Harmonica, Trumpet. Trombone, Tuba, Vocal and woodwinds. Make sure to Check out the instructor profiles tab.
The climate and environment we are striving to create is for personal best. Even though there are usually at least 2 different levels of classes going on in the same week, there are still a variety of skills that people posses or don’t posses. Remember, we have a professional house band that can step in at anytime if needed also.
Students also have some kind of hole in their musical knowledge, and it does not matter how long they have been playing. Some gaps are just not as evident to the untrained ear. Creating a FUN environment encourages everyone to take a risk and try something new.
Definitely yes.
Some teaching organizations have musicians supply everything. WE make sure every chart is not only close to the original. but also links to the version so everyone is learning from the same page. Along with that, we have practice tracks for soloing techniques and backing tracks to help you play along without Duane Allman getting in the way, and they are all downloadable!
Instructors are ALWAYS available before and after class. WE always help students before or after with problems that arise or something you might need for us to show you a technique up close. This is part of what we do.
WE would be glad to give a one on one lesson if that’s what it takes to make you more comfortable with your FUN and progress. WE can usually fit you in on a time at the studio. We don’t work on the premiss of weekly lessons no matter what. If you need to reach the next goal we can work out a strategy to get you a few lessons to reach that goal. If you are a current class student, lessons are very competitive. A lot lower than in a music store or private studio.
