Brandon is a guitarist and audio engineer from Toronto, Canada. A lifelong musician, he started playing saxophone at age 11, percussion at 12 and found his passion with guitar at 13.
After earning his diploma in Music Production and Sound Engineering from the industry-lead Harris Institute for the Arts in Toronto, Canada, he began his engineering career at the historic Phase One Studios (est.1973), under Grammy nominated engineer George Seara (2019 w/Shawn Mendes, 2020 w/Ed Sheeran). In 2009 he moved to California, engineering for Costa Mesa Recording Studios (2009 Grammy winning Rock Record of the Year and Pop Song of the Year, 2017 Grammy Nominated Rock Album of the Year).
Due to frequent relocation, he transitioned into freelance work, specializing in both recording/engineering as well as home studio design/acoustic treatment. While frequent relocation was not ideal for his engineering career, it allowed him the opportunity to play guitar with musicians all over the country, learning various regional techniques and earning the influences that contribute to his notably unique solo composition style.
He joins us now in the Vancouver area most recently from Shreveport, Louisiana where he played alongside Joe Nadeau (former tour guitarist for Kenny Wayne Sheppard). You can hear more of his eclectic guitar style at his solo show, “Mildly Impressive Wednesdays” at BenBear Beers in SE Portland on Wednesday evenings. He also is a new member of a successful group in Portland ( My Siamese Twins ) along with teaching lessons.
