These LIVE local bands were a result of the Collaboration between Magenta and Jam Session™ organization workshops. The idea is to bring local musicians together in a wonderful performance venue. Nestled in between incredible theatrical productions, I believe this is a sign of great things to come. The Arts bring people together. Kevin Fitzgearld
ROUNDABOUT – Eclectic Mix (Elle King, Dexys, Pink, Eva Cassidy, Etta James, Alabama Shakes . . .)
Colunbia River Dridters – eclectic rock and blues group, playing music people enjoy!
Takin’ The Fifth – Blues, Rock and a taste of Country
Some details about the bands.
1st up . . . .Roundabout
Roundabout was formed from the roots of the Jam Session™ organization.
In a world of homogenized, cookie-cutter music, Roundabout stands out as a beacon of authenticity and passion. Blending the timeless appeal of rhythm and blues with unexpected country and rock influences, this talented group creates a sound that is both familiar and refreshingly original.
Anchored by a powerhouse vocalist whose raw, emotive delivery will move you to tears, Roundabout’s music speaks directly to the soul, transporting you to a place of pure, unadulterated emotion. Mila (guitar, vocals), Jackson (guitar, vocals, Bert (Tenor Sax) , John (percussion) and Kevin (bass and other stuff) https://www.bassfitz.com/roundabout/

2nd up . . .Columbia River Drifters

The Columbia River Drifters are a cover band with a unique sound based on experience playing with different bands/musicians playing songs they enjoy. This band of retired friends was born out of the Jam SessionTM created by Kevin Fitzgearld. John Hanger, (guitar player/vocalist) Larry Whitney, (bass player/vocalist) and Duwayne Graves (guitar player/vocalist) were in the very first class ran out of Clark Community College. The four met there and with the help of the Jam SessionTM class giving support, guidance and encouragement, were able to get out there and play. The journey continues and they will play until they can’t anymore! The other members are Jerry Peace (lead guitar), Darrell Robinson (percussionist/vocalist), and Russell Huntley, (Keyboards).
Closing the show . . .Takin’ The Fifth

Takin’ The Fifth is a band based in Vancouver, WA. The five members of Takin’ The Fifth are not your average bar band, having had “day jobs” in chemistry (Mike Roche-guitar), gerontology (Sue Rose – bass), research science (Bob Dias – drums), commercial aviation (Dave Hankins – guitar), and entertainment law (Steve Winogradsky – guitar). Having met at jam session around town, we discovered we were musically compatible and formed the band. Our music is based on the years of experience and the musical backgrounds each member brings to the five piece band. Blues and rock are our stock in trade, with a little taste of country thrown in. With a lineup of three guitars, bass and drums, Takin’ The Fifth creates a sound sure to please music lovers of all styles.
